“How on earth can handwriting help me be happier?” you may be asking. Here is the answer.

Your handwriting is body language. It is just like any other movement or body language you do except that it leaves a permanent trail since you are holding a pen or pencil while you do it. You could liken it to leaving footprints on wet concrete – your body movements leave a permanent indication of what you did.

So, handwriting is body language.

Smiling is body language too, so is laughing and hugging others. If you were feeling down and went among other people where there was a lot of laughing, smiling and hugging going on, would that perhaps make you feel more cheerful?

If you went around all day with a scowl on your face, stomping in an annoyed way everywhere you went, slamming doors and ignoring everyone, how would you feel at the end of the day? Most likely you would be feeling pretty fed up and unhappy.

In both these scenarios your body language would be affecting your feelings and you would end up feeling how you were acting, or moving.

And so it is with handwriting. The difference is that most people don’t consciously know what their handwriting is telling them.

This is what the Happiness Course does.
