Memories: how will you look back?

I write this as the old year disappears and tonight at midnight a brand new year will start.

Traditionally this is a time of memories.  A time to look back and remember what good and bad happened over the past year.  Perhaps to wonder what we could have done better, but hopefully to celebrate what we did spectacularly well.

Did you eat too much?

Christmas is over for another year.  Did you eat too much?

Your writing cannot show what you actually ate, or how much, but it can show whether you have the inclination to be someone who enjoys food and perhaps has trouble knowing when to stop!

The day after Christmas, which is today as I write this, in North America, is the day when people pack the shops even more than they did before Christmas, as they shop for bargains, make returns on unwanted gifts, and generally try to survive the mobs as they get the best “deals.”
